Dr. L.L. Dhakar : The Man Behind GMSL Dhakar Charitable Foundation

Born on July 4, 1945, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, Dr. L.L. Dhakar is the son of Late Shri Mohan Lal ji Dhakar and Late Shrimati Gopi Baiji Dhakar. A distinguished academic and devoted social servant, Dr. Dhakar has dedicated his life to excellence in agricultural education, research, and extension, as well as to community upliftment and leadership across numerous social organizations.

Academic Excellence

Dr. Dhakar completed his High School with First Division in Science, followed by a B.Sc. (Agriculture) and M.Sc. (Agronomy), both with First Division. He earned a Gold Medal during his postgraduate studies and subsequently obtained a Ph.D. in Agronomy with First Division from the Faculty of Agriculture.

Beyond academics, he excelled in sports and military training. He holds NCC A, B, and C certificates and was awarded College and University Colours in Badminton, along with a University-level Certificate of Appreciation in Hockey.

Dr. Dhakar married Mrs. Shakuntala Dhakar on May 14, 1974. They are blessed with two daughters: Mrs. Meetu (married to Mr. Vipin Kavadia) and Mrs. Neetu (married to Mr. Arun Sarupria). His cherished grandchildren are Aashna Kavadia, Khushi Kavadia, Kushagra Sarupria, and Daksh Sarupria.
